Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Katy Tigers walked away with it. They took their match on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-6 victory over Fort Bend Travis. The win was nothing new for Katy as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Katy found their leader in underclassman Tremayne Hill, who rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns. Hill hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tadi Zambe, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Katy's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Fort Bend Travis, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Katy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Cy-Fair at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Cy-Fair is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Fort Bend Travis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
