The Statesville Christian Lions lost against the Carolina Day Wildcats back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Statesville Christian fell just short of Carolina Day by a score of 26-24.
Leading Carolina Day to victory were Taylor Williams and Lily Everette. Williams scored eight points along with nine steals, while Everette dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Everette has scored at least a third of Carolina Day's points.
Statesville Christian has not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Carolina Day, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
