It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Rogers Eagles had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Van Vleck at home to the tune of 42-15. The win was familiar territory for Rogers who now have six in a row.
Van Vleck's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brett Noster, who rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Noster was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
Rogers is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Van Vleck, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Rogers will take on Comfort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Comfort is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Van Vleck does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
