Woden has won four straight games at home, while Shelbyville has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Eagles will welcome the Dragons at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Woden proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Gary 3-2.

Landon Nerren
| 03/27/26 vs Gary | 2 |
| 03/20/26 @ Chireno | 2 |
| 03/10/26 vs Joaquin | 1 |
| 03/06/26 @ Alto | 0 |
| 03/06/26 @ Grapeland | 1 |
Landon Nerren spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Woden's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Meanwhile, Shelbyville got themselves on the board against San Augustine on Friday, but San Augustine never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Wolves. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Jaxon Lambright and Tate Obregon made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Lambright pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Obregon pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Lambright went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Obregon went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Obregon has hit this season.
In other batting news, Gavin McDonald was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Jaxon Raymond was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Shelbyville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Woden's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Shelbyville, their win bumped their record up to 13-4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Woden has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Shelbyville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Woden might still be hurting after the 15-1 defeat they got from Shelbyville when the teams last played on March 3rd. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
