Evergreen is 8-2 against Renton since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wolverines will host the Red Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Evergreen's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Cedarcrest hitters got past them. The Wolverines came up short against the Red Wolves on Friday, falling 12-2. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evergreen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raiden Hang, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Renton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-6 to Interlake.

James (JT) Taylor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Lock, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Renton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Evergreen, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Evergreen has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .524. However, it's not like Renton struggles in that department as they've averaged .481. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Evergreen beat Renton 7-2 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Red Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
