The Peyton Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 74-29 blowout they got at home against Center. That looming 74-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Peyton yet this season.
Peyton found their leader in underclassman Michael Perry, who scored 30 points along with nine assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which Perry has scored at least 25% of Peyton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Breese, who scored 12 points along with six assists.
Peyton's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Center, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Peyton will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Salida at 7:00 p.m. As for Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Del Norte at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Norte is on a three-game streak of home losses, Center a four-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
