Steward got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilly Thoman out in front who scored ten points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Tori West was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Cape Henry Collegiate has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Steward, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-9.
Cape Henry Collegiate will face off against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peninsula Catholic comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last 11 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Steward, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Virginia Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
