The Bluffton Tigers will face off against the Adams Central Flying Jets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bluffton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Bluffton was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Churubusco on Monday. The Tigers blew past the Eagles 11-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the game before.

Dawson Lee tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, Chanley Shaw was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Trevor Smith was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs.
Meanwhile, Adams Central came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Wildcats on the board, marking their second-straight 3-0 shutout.
Ethan Funk was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Funk was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Miller, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Andy Geels also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Bluffton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Adams Central, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bluffton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. However, it's not like Adams Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bluffton was able to grind out a solid victory over Adams Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 8-4. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Flying Jets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
