The Auburn Riverside Ravens will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Juanita Ravens at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Auburn Riverside fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their match on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-14 win over Auburn. With Auburn Riverside ahead 27-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Thyrou Umi-Tuato'o continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 109 yards and four touchdowns. Cole Svendsen was another key contributor, picking up 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Juanita got themselves on the board against Mercer Island on Friday, but Mercer Island never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Islanders 41-0 on the road. Juanita pushed the score to 34-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Mercer Island had no chance of recovering from.
Dallas Sooto looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 213 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Mcwilliams, who picked up 72 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Auburn Riverside to 6-3 and Juanita to 7-2.
