It was a good run, but The Cheltenham Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 27-12 to Central Bucks West. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Cheltenham was blown out by Central Bucks West in the second.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Stanley 'Tre' Mcleod, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Mcleod was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Cheltenham now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Central Bucks West, their win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 11-0.
Cheltenham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central Bucks West will be playing at home against Garnet Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garnet Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Central Bucks West is ranked 15th).
