South Sevier has gone a perfect 8-0 against Millard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. South Sevier is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
South Sevier's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Grand County 14-0. The Rams have beaten the Red Devils the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Red Devils has come to flipping the script.

Gus Ingram made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because South Sevier is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-7 otherwise. Ingram was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grady Heaps, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. South Sevier is 2-1 when Heaps posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Krew Winkel, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
South Sevier was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Millard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of South Summit.
Kamdyn Frampton and Zach Higgins stepped up to the plate in a big way. Frampton went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Higgins went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Power Jernigan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
The victory got South Sevier back to even at 8-8. As for Millard, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Millard's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Sevier has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. It's a different story for Millard, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain South Sevier's hitters?
