The Christ Prep Academy Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Independence Home School. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Christ Prep Academy has scored all season.
Independence Home School found their leader in underclassman Tate Beeson, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Young, who scored eight points.
Christ Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Independence Home School, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ozanam at 12:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Independence Home School will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
