Sheridan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Will Brent, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks, and Armando Monarrez who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brent has scored all season. Bobby Garcia was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Sheridan struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Arvada racked up 17 assists.
Christian Lake continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Arvada, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Lake scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Henderson, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five steals.
Sheridan dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Arvada, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
Sheridan will challenge Platte Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Platte Canyon is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Arvada, they will be playing at home against The Pinnacle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (The Pinnacle is ranked 286th, while Arvada is ranked 302nd).
