Softball Recap: Warren Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Warren won the last time they faced Crossett and things went their way on Friday too. The Lumberjacks put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Raeleigh Milton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Charlee Wardlaw was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Presley Reep also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Warren's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Crossett, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warren will face off against Magnolia at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crossett, they will challenge DeWitt at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
