Chalker gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over Windham.
Chalker got a big performance out of Bailey Ann Bussey, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Abby Grimm, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Badger got themselves on the board against Chaney on Tuesday, but Chaney never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Cowboys. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kyleigh Hall was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiyah Scharfenberg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Badger was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chaney only posted a batting average of .000.
Chalker has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Badger, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chalker hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. However, it's not like Badger struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chalker got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 against Badger by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
