The Chandler Prep Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season. They blew past Tempe Prep 66-27 at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Chandler Prep as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Chandler Prep had a senior duo take command as Noah Ruiz dropped a triple-double on 11 points, ten assists, and ten steals and Caleb So went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. The matchup was Ruiz's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Hamilton, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Chandler Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Tempe Prep, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chandler Prep will take on Horizon Honors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Horizon Honors is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Tempe Prep, they will be playing at home against Santa Cruz Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Santa Cruz Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
