Jackson is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Creekside is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Jackson Jaguars will face off against the Creekside Seminoles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, Jackson really took it to Drew for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-25 victory. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Drew are ranked 239th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cayden Cornish was her usual excellent self, going 6 of 12 on her way to 21 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiyah Weaver, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Creekside against M.L. King on Tuesday as the team secured an 85-12 win.
Creekside found their leader in sophomore C?India Dennis, who went 7 for 11 en route to 15 points along with eight assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Maliha Harris, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 15 points and three steals.
Creekside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.
Creekside's victory bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Jackson, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Jackson hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 58.3 points per game. However, it's not like Creekside struggles in that department as they've been averaging 71.7 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Jackson came up short against Creekside when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 65-53. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dennis, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 boards. Now that Jackson knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
