Everything went their way against DePaul Cristo Rey on Tuesday as Gamble Montessori made off with a 69-47 win. The victory was nothing new for Gamble Montessori as they're now sitting on five straight.
Despite the loss, DePaul Cristo Rey still got an impressive performance from Britain Starks, who scored 17 points. Starks scored a full 36.2% of DePaul Cristo Rey's points, the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Collins, who scored ten points.
Gamble Montessori's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Gamble Montessori will be playing in front of their home fans against Cincinnati College Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they will head out on the road to face off against Oyler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oyler is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
