William Dedon and Demarcus Felton provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Memorial. The connection went for 54 yards, the longest such play in 5A Region II District 13 this season.
Felton of Dekaney ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Mandeville last week. Felton ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 208 on the day as his team lost to the Skippers.
Westfield's dynamic duo of Dedon and Austin Opara proved tough for the Mustangs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dedon threw for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns and Opara had 69 yards receiving.

The Mustangs' Dedon and Opara have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dedon has thrown for 326 yards this season, while Opara has 2 catches for 69 yards. Dekaney's Felton leads the league in rushing yards with 427.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Westfield takes on Klein Collins. The Mustangs are in first place, while the Tigers are in sixth place.
Westfield was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Memorial. The Mustangs came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
