West Hills (Santee, Calif.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 14 in the fourth quarter to seal a 36-13 victory over
Granite Hills (El Cajon, Calif.).
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Daniel McManus in the first quarter, the Wolf Pack were up 17-6 at the half.
West Hills expanded its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. WH scored two times in the third, including once on a safety.
The Santee school came in allowing an average of 19.6 points per game this season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Granite Hills, who notched a 17-14 victory over Steele Canyon in its previous outing. The victory was a step in the right direction for the Wolf Pack, who were coming off a 44-7 defeat at the hands of Helix in its previous game.
West Hills (7-2) goes up against Grossmont in a Grossmont - Hills game matchup next week, while Granite Hills (4-5) locks horns with Valhalla also in a Grossmont - Hills game.
