While East couldn't quite beat Columbus International on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 27-point defeat they were dealt last Saturday. Meanwhile, Centennial can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Mifflin at home to the tune of 65-22. 65 seems to be a good number for Centennial as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Centennial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kennedy Houston out in front who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 11 assists, and ten steals. Houston is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kayla Houston, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
East has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Centennial, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
