Onalaska hasn't had much luck against Adna recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Loggers will face off against the Pirates at 9:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Onalaska came out on top against Winlock on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fourth inning. The Loggers blew past the Cardinals 14-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Loggers.

Desean Stewart made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Stewart was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, seven RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Blaze Underhill was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Onalaska's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Mckinley, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Onalaska kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.2.
Meanwhile, Adna put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Toutle Lake with a sharp 13-5 win. The game was the first time the Pirates have beaten the Ducks on their field since May 26, 2023.
Preston Trodahl looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Adna got a massive performance out of Cash Smith, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. Luke Mohney was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Adna's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Onalaska, their record now sits at 5-6.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Onalaska has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .474. However, it's not like Adna struggles in that department as they've averaged .570. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Onalaska suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Adna in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Loggers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
