4A Region 1 recap September 4, 2013
Tishomingo County was the team made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in 4A Region 1. The Braves vanquished Alcorn Central 28-6 earlier in the week.
Amory and Senatobia played the closest game in the league this week, with Amory eventually emerging with a 31-30 victory.
Harrison Moss and Braeden Maxcy gave Tishomingo County a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Moss threw for 56 yards, while Maxcy ran for 88 yards. Teammate Randal Mares added to the ground attack by rushing for 27 yards.

Peyton Green was the best wideout in the league this week as Itawamba Agricultural beat New Albany. Green tallied 2 receptions for 57 yards. Tylon Ward helped Itawamba Agricultural's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 16 yards.
Maxcy was the most successful running back in 4A Region 1 this week.
Moss put up the best numbers through the air as the Braves defeated the Bears.

The Indians' Vijay miller and Green have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Miller has thrown for 217 yards this season, while Green has 6 catches for 90 yards. The Panthers' Austin Renfro leads the league in rushing yards with 146.
Pontotoc fell to Saltillo 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
