Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hancock). Everything went their way against the Bishop Walsh Spartans on Thursday as the Hancock Panthers made off with a 78-52 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Hancock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Anderson led the charge by putting up 25 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Anderson a new career-high in points. Hunter Kerns was another key player, earning 18 points.

Hancock smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 7.5 offensive boards per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 12.4.

Hancock's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Bishop Walsh, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Coming up, Hancock is taking a road trip to face off against Hundred at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Walsh, they and Calvary Christian Academy will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
