The Southern Fulton Indians will head out on the road to face off against Forbes Road at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southern Fulton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Southern Fulton got the win against North Star by a conclusive 19-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Claire Harvey made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Harvey was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kamryn Pittman was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Sarah Burrows also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
Southern Fulton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .735. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Forbes Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Mercersburg Academy, falling 17-7.
Mykenzie Vinson led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadee Oakman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run.
Southern Fulton's record now sits at 5-6. As for Forbes Road, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Forbes Road's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Southern Fulton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. It's a different story for Forbes Road, though, as they've only averaged .342. Will they be able to contain Southern Fulton's hitters?
Everything went Southern Fulton's way against Forbes Road in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Southern Fulton made off with an 11-4 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do Forbes Road have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
