Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ace Walker, who scored ten points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Alex Naumow, who scored nine points.
First Coast's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Markel Mitchell, who scored 20 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mitchell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Israel Gaines, who scored 18 points along with two blocks.
Yulee has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for First Coast, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Yulee will head out on the road to face off against Baldwin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. First Coast won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Atlantic Coast at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Atlantic Coast is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
