The Vista Ridge Wolves will be playing at home against the Rampart Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vista Ridge is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
Even though Cheyenne Mountain scored an imposing 32 points on Friday, Vista Ridge still came out on top. Vista Ridge walked away with a 42-32 victory over Cheyenne Mountain. Given Vista Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Cheyenne Mountain is ranked 126th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vista Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nayshaun Hall, who rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Ben Noblitt, who threw for 123 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Rampart was the victim of a rough 47-21 defeat at the hands of Mesa Ridge on Friday.
Camden Bruns put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
Vista Ridge's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-6 Vista PEAK Prep and 2-6 Far Northeast W (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 31.3% over those games). Rampart has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Vista Ridge against Rampart in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 40-7 victory. Does Vista Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rampart turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
