Volleyball Recap: Second Baptist University-Model Gets the Win

While Second Baptist University-Model's victory against Baytown Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagle narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Eagle in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Second Baptist University-Model found their leader in sophomore Shay Santillan, who had five digs and four aces.

Second Baptist University-Model was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matchups.

Second Baptist University-Model's win bumped their record up to 18-4-1. As for Baytown Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Second Baptist University-Model wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Family Christian on the 13th. As for Baytown Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Angleton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th.
