The Columbus Christian Crusaders won the last time they faced Varsity Opponent, and things went their way on Friday too. Columbus Christian blew past Varsity Opponent 82-51 on the road.
Peyton Walden was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Cam Pritchard was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
The win got Columbus Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Varsity Opponent, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 64-276-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus Christian will face off against Seven Oaks Classical at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Seven Oaks Classical is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Augusta Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
