For the first time this season, the Gunderson Grizzlies were forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor San Jose could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Gunderson avoided a loss thanks to
Mario Valadez and
Jonathan Salazar, who posted both of Gunderson's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
Gunderson's draw gives them a new season record of 8-7-1. Meanwhile, San Jose's record is now 4-9-5.
Gunderson will be playing at home against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Independence is coming into the game with six straight defeats on the road, meaning Gunderson will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. San Jose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
