Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bennington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Kaiser, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Kaiser has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Olson, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Hastings' loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Bennington, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hastings will take on Northwest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Northwest is ranked 158th, while Hastings is ranked 153rd). As for Bennington, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Skutt Catholic.
