The Forrest Rockets won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were beaten by Cannon County 81-43. Forrest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-19.
Forrest's loss came despite strong showings from Tristan Goad and Brayson McCown. Goad scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while McCown scored ten points. Kelley Toombs was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Forrest's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Cannon County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.
Forrest will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cascade at 7:30 p.m. As for Cannon County, they will head out on the road to challenge Grundy County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Grundy County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 392 points over their last six games.
