The Central Cobras will take on the Conifer Lobos at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Central's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Centennial. Considering the Cobras have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Gabe Davids tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dominick Grimaldi, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jakobe Blackwood, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centennial only posted an OBP of .130.
Meanwhile, Conifer came up short against Stevenson on Monday, falling 17-6. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Andrew Janasiewicz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Declan Kowbuz, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Conifer's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .375. However, it's not like Conifer struggles in that department as they've averaged .361. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
