Victor Vidal and Caleb Scrivner provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Mohawk. The longest such play in 1A Special District 5 (8 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 90 yards.
Lowell extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Triangle Lake, 46-6. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
McKenzie's dynamic duo of Vidal and Scrivner proved tough for the Indians to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Vidal threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns and Scrivner had 145 yards receiving. Bailey Adams helped McKenzie's passing attack out by catching two balls for 23 yards.
Will Shaw was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 132 yards on 13 carries as Yoncalla defeated Mohawk. Gavin Russell also contributed to the rushing game with 14 yards on the ground.
McKenzie's Vidal and Scrivner have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 1A Special District 5 (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Vidal has thrown for 1629 yards this season, while Scrivner, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 20 catches for 609 yards. Logan Drullinger from Crow leads the league in rushing with 771 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Cougars and Siletz Valley. Crow enters the game ranked 12th in the state, while Siletz Valley ranks 22nd.
Bob Line's team took down Mapleton 84-26 last week, the largest margin of any game.
