For the first time this season, Mount Si will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Bothell Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Si's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Bothell's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Mount Si is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Cedar Park Christian with a sharp 14-4 win on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Abigail Rowland (2026) was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Maddie Moritz (2026) was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Mount Si always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Bothell faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Cougars took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The loss was the Cougars' first of the season.
Bothell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mili Westergaard, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Mount Si's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bothell, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Mount Si has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Bothell struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Mount Si's way against Bothell in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Mount Si made off with a 13-5 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
