Mid-State 38 - Hills recap October 29, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Mid-State 38 - Hills this week, South Hunterdon beat Dayton 48-13. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Bound Brook lost to Bernards 56-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sean Glasgow ran for 129 yards in the defeat.
Jake Whitaker provided a threat through the air and on the ground as South Hunterdon bested the Bulldogs.
Devon Troutman and Whitaker gave Toby Jefferis' team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Troutman threw for 46 yards and 1 touchdown, while Whitaker ran for 179 yards. Myles Johnson also contributed to the rushing game with 66 yards on the ground.
6-foot-1 quarterback Anthony Zuhone of Manville is the league leader in passing yards this season with 583. He has also thrown 3 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Justin Foster. The Bound Brook star has 16 catches for 299 yards.
The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Dayton. Whitaker ran for 179 yards during the win.
