There's no place like home for the McLane Highlanders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They blew past Sanger West 74-31 at home on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as McLane also won the last time the pair played back in January.
McLane got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Pamanes out in front who scored 16 points along with two steals. James Brown was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Despite the defeat, Sanger West saw an underclassman step up: Kharon Parks scored 13 points along with two steals.
McLane's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Sanger West, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McLane will take on the Stallions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Madera South has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 4. As for Sanger West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fresno is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
