After flying high against Covenant Academy on Friday, the Fullington Academy Trojans came back down to earth. Fullington Academy was the victim of a tough 55-30 defeat at the hands of Terrell Academy on Monday. While losing is never fun, Fullington Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Terrell Academy is ranked 19th).
When it comes to explaining why Fullington Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaye Beth Womble. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Beth Womble continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Fullington Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Terrell Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Fullington Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Georgia Arts at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Terrell Academy will take on Heritage in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th at. Heritage is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
