Brecksville-Broadview Heights added to the longest winning streak in Southwestern this week by beating Lakewood, 49-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Bees.
Berea-Midpark moved up to 308 from 335 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Berea-Midpark was able to move up by beating Westlake 22-15.
Steele's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Justin Mott threw for 56 yards and Koran Brillon had 35 yards receiving. On the ground Mott contributed 89 yards. Joe D'Andrea helped Steele's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 21 yards.
The Comets' dynamic duo of Mott and Brillon proved to be unstoppable against North Olmsted, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. D'Andrea helped Steele's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 21 yards.
Steele's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Comets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Anthony Eliopoulos has thrown for 546 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while D'Andrea has 32 catches for 330 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Avon Lake takes on the Eagles. As it stands, the Shoremen are in third, while North Olmsted is in second.
Brecksville-Broadview Heights took down the Rangers 49-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
