They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dallas Academy 60-16 at home. That 44 point margin sets a new team best for St. Paul's Prep this season.
Landon Applon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Perkins, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
St. Paul's Prep's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Dallas Academy, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul's Prep will take on the Lions at 6:15 a.m. on Friday. Cristo Rey Fort Worth is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Dallas Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Community Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Texas (the Warriors are ranked 717th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1700th).
