IC Catholic Prep is a perfect 5-0 against Trinity since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Knights will challenge the Blazers at 9:00 a.m. The last three games IC Catholic Prep has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While IC Catholic Prep's victory against DePaul College Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rams 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won nine in a row.

Madelynn Dinino made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ariani Zito, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Lexi Russ was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Saint Ignatius College Prep, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Blazers have lost by exactly ten runs.
Trinity saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aly Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for IC Catholic Prep, their record now sits at 13-9.
Trinity's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: IC Catholic Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. It's a different story for Trinity, though, as they've only averaged .329. Will they be able to contain IC Catholic Prep's hitters?
IC Catholic Prep took their win against Trinity in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 16-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
