Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Owensboro Catholic ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 70-63 victory over Castle. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Owensboro Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hailee Johnson out in front who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. Aubrey Randolph was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
The victory got Evansville Mater Dei back to even at 3-3. As for Owensboro Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
