After ten games on the road, Southern Wake Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Chatham Charter Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Southern Wake Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 81-66 loss to Greenfield. While losing is never fun, Southern Wake Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Greenfield is ranked 32nd).
Chris Crudup put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Rechetnikov, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Chatham Charter's game on Monday was all tied up 43-43 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 72-71 to Chatham HomeSchool.

Southern Wake Academy took a serious blow against Chatham Charter in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 102-16. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Southern Wake Academy was down 66-5.
