The St. Anthony Bulldogs can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 76-32 victory over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City. The win was familiar territory for St. Anthony who now have eight in a row.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clayton Wojcik, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Lorton, who scored five points along with three steals.
St. Anthony's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
St. Anthony won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Brownstown/St. Elmo at 8:00 p.m. on January 25th. Brownstown/St. Elmo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 276th, while St. Anthony is ranked 86th). Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City on the road again on Thursday and play against North Clay/Clay City at 6:15 p.m. on January 25th.
