The Otsego Knights lost against the Lake Flyers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Otsego fell to Lake 40-36. Otsego has not had much luck with Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Otsego saw an underclassman step up: Jocelyn Cornell scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds. Cornell scored a full 38.9% of Otsego's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sam Lehr, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Otsego now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lake, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-2.
Otsego will be playing at home against Maumee at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
