The Valliant Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Tushka Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valliant will be strutting in after a victory while Tushka will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Valliant was able to grind out a solid win over Antlers, taking the game 41-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Valliant.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Tushka's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Tishomingo 66-62. Even though they lost, Tushka's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 51.1 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Tushka got a solid performance out of Tagen Simon, who scored 31 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds. The contest was Simon's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Gibson, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals.
Valliant's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tushka, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Everything came up roses for Valliant against Tushka in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 70-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valliant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
