Central is 8-2 against Chesterfield since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Golden Rams at 7:30 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 935 yards in their previous games.
On Friday, Central and Andrew Jackson were almost perfectly matched up, but Central suffered a 21-20 loss. The Eagles gained 213 more yards on the day, but it was the Volunteers that made the best use of them.

Central might have lost, but man, Ashten Wilson was a machine: he rushed for 208 yards and one score while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Wilson showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards. Dwayne Louallen Jr helped out on the ground, rushing for 89 yards.
While Central came up short, they sure didn't make it easy for Andrew Jackson: they limited their QB to completion percentage of just 48.4%. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for the Eagles; they were averaging 58.8%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 58.8%.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chesterfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Buford 45-13. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Golden Rams this season.
Chesterfield's win came from a few key players Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryce Adams, who threw for 307 yards and four TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (163.2). Greg Rushing Jr helped Adams out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also picking up 52 receiving yards and one score.
Chesterfield's defense made their presence known, laying out Noah Crump three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Wallace Herring, Jaydan Wallace, and Levi Jones, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 6-1. As for Chesterfield, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Central has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 301.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Chesterfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 176.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Central took their victory against Chesterfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 34-8 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Golden Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
