Mount Tabor hasn't had much luck against Glenn recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Mount Tabor has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Mount Tabor lost 17-4 to East Forsyth on Wednesday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jenna Catania made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Tarpley-Quintanilla, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Glenn, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over R.J. Reynolds on Tuesday. Considering the Bobcats have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Addyson Irving and Kendall Fraas made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Irving pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Fraas pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. At bat, Irving scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Fraas went 1-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Erin Murnane was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kadence Lamonte, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Glenn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as R.J. Reynolds only managed two hits.
Glenn now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Mount Tabor, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
