There's no place like home for the Whitehall Railroaders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Lake George on Friday as Whitehall made off with a 41-17 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Whitehall also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Lake George's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Angelina Minnear, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Minnear is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lake George struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Whitehall pushed their record up to 3-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Lake George, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Whitehall will head out on the road to face off against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stillwater presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Whitehall in New York (Stillwater is ranked 68th, while Whitehall is ranked 212th). Lake George will be home for the holidays to greet Galway at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Galway is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
