Even though the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Hills Academy Knights still came out on top. Hills Academy walked away with a 66-55 victory over Scholars Guild Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hills Academy.
Leading Hills Academy to victory were Adrian Campbell and Micah Pugh. Campbell scored 17 points, while Pugh scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Ralph Doomes III, who scored nine points.
Scholars Guild Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah McIlvain, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Henry Rumble was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five steals.
Hills Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Scholars Guild Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
